Stolt Sea Farm is a partner in a new European project, AQUAFAAANG, the purpose of which is to make fish stocks more resilient by improving their resistance to posible illnesses.
Duration: May 2019 to May 2023. Place of execution: our facilities in Quilmas (A Coruña).
The objective is to promote the health of farmed fish by improving their resistance to posible illnesses.
A visit of the team took place in Cabo Vilán farm, Camariñas, on the 26th of May 2022. It involved 22 researchers from different institutes of reference in the sector at a worldwide level, who were guided through our facilities; a tour that was accompanied with explanations by our colleagues from the farm guided by Ana Riaza (R&D Director) as well as by our Sustainability Director (Carlos Tavares)
The project will be carried out by a research consortium made up of the following research centres:
